Mission
All children should have access to dance and healthy communities.Boogiz creates safe spaces where children can move, express themselves, and be part of something bigger – regardless of geography, finances, gender, or background.
We especially reach out to girls
Dance particularly attracts girls, and research shows that they face greater challenges related to physical activity, self-esteem, and social media. By focusing on girls, Boogiz creates spaces where they feel safe, while boys are still very welcome.
5 elements we work with:
Making dance accessible to all children through the Boogiz dance app
Bridging online and real-life dance with friends
Creating a bully-free online community
Empowering children to create their own movements
Making dance sharing safe for children

Boogiz – Dance with Friends
The Boogiz App is a fun and safe dance universe where children learn to dance together with friends.
Here, it’s all about movement, community, and the joy of practicing dance.
Boogiz is developed by professional dancers and is 100% bully-free and privacy-protecting.
We give back to the dance community
Boogiz is built on dance – which is why we also give back to the professional dancers who inspire children and young people every day.
We do this through an invite system, where dancers can receive their own personal code. When a user signs up for Boogiz using a dancer’s invite code, the dancer receives ongoing payments every month.
In this way, we support the dance community and create a sustainable model where dancers receive recognition and income for their work.

Who is behind Boogiz
Boogiz – Dance with Friends was founded in 2022 by Maja Juel-Hansen, who wanted to create opportunities to support the health and well-being of children and young people in a digital age. Many children and teens were spending time on passive or potentially harmful digital media and lacked the opportunities for movement and creativity that they deserved.
Boogiz was created with the mission to make a real difference for children and teens – both in Denmark and internationally.

Om Teamet
Boogiz was created by Magnus and Maja – Magnus handles the code, and Maja handles the dance. Together, they’ve tried it all: countless versions of Boogiz, lots of coffee, and maybe a few stiff dance moves along the way.
But they’re not alone! More than 25 professional dancers, ambassadors, developers, and designers from around the world help make Boogiz the magical app it is today.
The team looks forward to seeing the Boogiz dance universe grow, giving all children and teens the opportunity to express themselves through dance.
